【Hualien's Coast One Day Tour 】

Itinenary: Niushan Huting > Fanshuliao (Valley) > Baqi Gazebo Lookout > Shitiping > Yuedong (Moon Cave) > Changhong Bridge > Shimen > Return to Hotel or drop off at the DongHua Uni's Night Market

< Niushan Huting/Cow Mountain >
"Huting" stands for "the place where cow and sheep are grazing" in the Amei’s language. The local valley was original area for grazing cows for Amei’s people. Later, the operator of the Niushan Huting used the driftwood where picked up by the sea to make artworks and placed on the outdoor grassland, it adds an artistic for Niushan Huting.



< Fanshuliao (Valley) >
"Fanshuliao is located on Highway 11 near Bridge 18. It is the most unique canyon on the East Coast. From the both sides of the road, you can see the obvious topographical and geological contrasts due to erosion.


< Baqi Gazebo Lookout >
The Baqi Gazebo Lookout is located at 31.5 kilometers from the Coastal Highway 11 which is the highest point. At the viewing lookout platform possibly to catch sight of Jiqi Bay and Guihou headland, along with Hsinshe township’s ocean cliff; layer-upon-layer of unusual coastal terrain.


< Shitipong >
Shitiping is located in Fengbin Township, Hualien. It has developed sea terrain and is currently a scenic area. Visitors can view the rich ecology of the intertidal zone, and can also enjoy the beauty of the Pacific coast along the scenic trails. Shitiping is also an excellent fishing area.


< Yue Dong >
“Yuedong” (“Moon Cave”) known alternatively as “Yuejing” (“Moon Well”). It is said that within the lake there are many giant mottled eels, with one so-called millennium eel weighing more than 10 kilograms. t the summit providing habitat for hundreds of thousands of bats, adding a more mystical atmosphere. In winter warm and in summer cool, the cave is suitable for touring all year round.


< Changhong Bridge >
"Chanhong Bridge crosses the Xiuguluan River, the bridge is bright shiny and red colour. The brigde had designed with the bicycle and pedestrian paths. For viewing the rafting, it has eight viewing platforms available for tourists to overlook the boats on the river.


< Shimen >
There is a natural huge sea cave in the Shimen, called Shimen Cave. The lithology is dominated by black andesite breccia. This place is also a popular fishing and you will see the them fishind and collect seaweed.
